Their solution counters food scarcity, waste and excessive pesticide use.
IFarm builds automated vertical indoor farms within shipping containers. An AI software monitors and calculates how much water and nutrients are needed to produce optimal yields and delivers them to the plants.
Essentially, the indoor farming system reduces huge amounts of water and nutrient waste, prevents the need for pesticide use and provides the perfect microclimate for plants accessible anywhere in the world despite the outdoor climate or time. The shipping containers are compact and can be easily implemented within the inner city.
